Keep distance
Keep a distance of at least 1.5 meters from other people – for example on the way to work, when shopping or when walking in the park.
Stay home if you have symptoms such as a cough, runny nose, or fever that could indicate you have COVID-19. A guide to what to do in the event of symptoms can be found in a leaflet that can be downloaded.
Pay attention to hygiene
Follow simple hygiene rules when coughing and sneezing: cough or sneeze into a handkerchief and then dispose of it in a trash can. If you don’t have a handkerchief to hand, hold the crook of your arm in front of your mouth and nose, not your hand.
Wash your hands with soap regularly. Thorough hand washing can be done in five steps and takes at least 20 seconds. Avoid touching your mouth, nose, or eyes with your hands.
Wear everyday mask
Wear a face-to-face mask (everyday mask) if you cannot safely keep a minimum distance of 1.5 meters from others in public spaces, for example in public transport, when shopping, at the hairdresser’s or when entering a restaurant.
Wearing a mouth and nose cover is still mandatory in some cases. The concrete implementation can be somewhat different in the individual federal states. You can find out which regulation is binding in your region on the website of your state or your respective municipality or city. Even if you use a mouth and nose covering, you should still take care to keep your distance from other people.
Now, in the cold season, the number of infections can be expected to increase. Since we are now more and more indoors, regular ventilation is becoming increasingly important and an L for ventilation is added to the AHA formula. It is also important to use the Corona warning app – the more people participate, the easier it is to break chains of infection!
